Fun Pics

Here are some recent pics of Baker family happenings:

This first picture was at the arboretum where Ella loves to get her face painted on Mommy 'n Me Mondays. She picked this pink butterfly and wore remnants of it around for 4 days because she refused to let us wash her face. She now wants a face painter at her birthday party...anyone know a cheap face painter?

We introduced Ella and Will to miniature golf. They lost interest by hole 3 and were the most intrigued by the last hole when they lost their ball. Ella thought her raisins were much more entertaining! Think we'll wait awhile before we make another trip to Adventure Landing!

Ella and Will helped Daddy stain their swingset. Will helped stain for about 10 minutes, just long enough to waste LOTS of stain. Ella, on the other hand, loved helping and was out there for the full five hours helping Daddy. The stain job definitely has some darker areas thanks to her helping and focusing on certain random spots, but their father/daughter time was well worth the imperfect stain job. Ella loved being Daddy's big helper and is quite proud of the work they did together!

Six Flags

This year we decided to buy season passes to Six Flags for the family. To say our kids love it would be an understatement, as you can probably tell from the pics! Ella has really surprised us with her bravery and wants to ride just about anything that she is tall enough for. She has even followed the lead of others around her and raises her arms as she squeals in laughter. It's pretty cute! Will loves to ride with Daddy and will follow Ella onto just about anything. He always ask for us to hold onto him tight and cuddles in close but has a great time. Cal, our little daredevil, has loved the few rides he's been able to ride as well. So far it's been a great investment as we've already covered the cost of our passes with our visits.

Ella loved the parachutes so much, she did it a second time!

Daddy, Will and Ella on the mini mine train...bring back memories of your own childhood?

Baker and I even had a date night out there and loved riding the Titan, Superman and other things we can't do with the kids. There's nothing like a Friday night at Six Flags to make us feel old as we were in the very small minority of adults compared to teenagers.

Peer Pressure

Well after months of loving to read many friend's blogs, I've followed their lead and started our family its own. WARNING....this will be pretty boring for everyone except the much adoring grandparents as I hope to use this as a way to not forget the funny things our kids do as they are growing way too fast! No promises to how often I'll update. I'll also try to get Baker to post as his entries will be much more entertaining. I'm still figuring out how this all works so bear with me as my formatting will probably vary. I'm going to back-blog so read on to see some older family events. Enjoy and leave a comment so I'll know you're here!

Purple People Eaters

Ella is a proud member of the Purple People Eaters, her first soccer team. She looks so forward to her game and her practice all week. She loves putting on her uniform complete with shin guards...which is definitely part of the fun for this girl! She plays with 7 other neighborhood kids (there are 4 boys and 4 girls on the team) and it has been a great experience!
She also loves it that Daddy is one of her coaches and gets to lead them in "Monkey in the Middle" and other fun soccer practice games for 4 year olds!
I still can't believe that my "baby" girl is old enough for organized (somewhat) sports!

14 months old!

My sweet baby Cal,

You are becoming such a big boy! You are so rough and feisty yet with a smile that melts this mom's heart! You still love to cuddle and be rocked and I will hold onto that as long as you'll let me! You are taking your sweet time walking and talking but then again you have a big sister and big brother who do plenty of that for you! You have definite opinions and communicate them well with your body language (pushing and hitting to name a few) as well as your very loud grunts. You are a great sleeper and eater...liking to do both in large quantities. You LOVE balls, books (especially Baby Boo and Brown Bear), and anything on wheels. You dive head first down any slide no matter the size and we have to grab you by the ankle just to slow you down. You love your brother and sister dearly and you think you are big just like them. You love for them to read you books or play catch with you. Your face lights up each evening when your daddy gets home from work and you are "done" with mommy for the day. We love you more by the day and can't imagine our family without you!

SuperWill is THREE!

Our Sweet Will turned 3 on April 6th. We had a great time celebrating him and the big boy he's becoming. He is so full of joy and brings so much entertainment to our family. His big present was a Harley Davidson bicycle complete with a working speedometer which he loves. At his insistence, he had a small Superman birthday party at Chuck E. Cheese's where he loved every minute. He loves to be the center of attention! We are so proud of you, Will, and the good choices you continue to make. Your whole family adores you and your contagious smile!
