Lake Fun

Some of our dear family friends were quite generous and shared their beautiful lake home with our family. Here are some pictures of our long weekend there. In case the pictures don't quite do it justice, our re-entry into Dallas life wasn't easy!

Here are the big two hunting for bugs:
And their hot Dad very enthusiastically searching for bugs, too!
searching...
Here's Uncle Bub striking a cool man's pose or something like that:
Our crew LOVED fishing and managed to catch quite a few catfish. Behind the shadows of this pic are Ella and her daddy with her first catch:
fun times:
beautiful Greer:
love this picture! sheer delight in the simple things!
Cal loved reeling in the line. We could just drop an empty hook in the water and he was thrilled to reel it in. He even reeled in a couple of real catches which made it all the more exciting!
The sweet G-berg family heading out on Greer's first Sea-Doo ride:
Part of our daily routine was taking the mule over to feed the cows. The kids loved it and I'm pretty sure the cows "beefed up" while we were there thanks to our kids' attention. The below pics are way out of order but blogger isn't cooperating for me to arrange them, so here are some pics of one of our nightly feedings, but not in the correct chronological order:
Will smiling back at Mommy while Pop takes him through "Dead Man's Gulch". Immediately after this, Will quickly informed me there are no dead men. shew! Here's a pic of life in the country: Ella driving Greer to feed the cows and of course, there's no need to put the sweet girl in a car seat with her 5-year old cousin driving! Ah, the country life!
The boys watching Pop feeding the cows:
Despite the lack of enthusiasm on their faces, Will and Cal loved the Mule and would gladly run errands with Pop as long as they got to ride on the Mule.
I loved my backseat view! So precious!
Cal would go sit in the Mule as a big hint that he was ready for a ride. Pop would gladly oblige!
Ella was our brave one that rode the tube all by herself:
There she goes smiling the whole time (note to readers: the lack of wake behind the sea-doo should be an indication of the speed in which she's traveling):
We ate lots of watermelon:

And went on lots of Sea-Doo rides!

All in all, we had an absolute blast, a great time away as a family and the kids are still referring to their lake vacation!

So glad you all had a good time - your pictures show what it is all about. We'll have to plan a time to get our crews together out there. Grace and Colin would love hanging with your kiddos. On to Kindergarten! Can you believe it! Take care.
